Takeda is a group of companies with operations globally. The Takeda enterprise (“Takeda”, “we”, “us”, “our”) includes the parent company Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, and its affiliated entities. How We Use Personal Data
Depending on your relationship with Takeda, Takeda uses the personal data we collect for a number of basic purposes, described in more detail below: (1) for business operations (marketing and sales, research and development, patient support, donations and sponsorships, communications), (2) for business administration (finance and accounting, human resources, prevention and investigatory activities), (3) for business management (internal audit, asset management, system and business controls), and (4) as necessary to protect the health, safety, and security of Takeda personnel and to comply with legal requirements and obligations. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
When Takeda engages in the processing of your personal data, we will only do so if this is allowed, also referred to as having a legal basis to process your personal data. The legal bases Takeda would rely on include:
when we have a contract or agreement with you – for example, a contract to supply goods or services (i.e. when you engage with us to visit a Takeda organized event, or order information on-line), or an employee contract;
when we must comply with a legal obligation – for example, when processing your data is a legal requirement, for example in some countries there are transparency requirements regarding interaction with healthcare professionals, or to provide information to authorities in case of adverse events related to use of our products;
when data processing is in your vital interests – for example, when this might protect your life;
when processing your data for our legitimate interests as a pharmaceutical company in compliance with our corporate policies – for example, to communicate with you about our products and services, about scientific research and educational opportunities, scientific and market research surveys, as well as for the effective continuation of our business operations.
In all situations where there is no other legal basis, Takeda will ask for your agreement (known as “consent”) as legal basis to process your personal data.

Who We Share Personal Data With
We share data with Takeda-controlled affiliates and subsidiaries; with vendors working on our behalf; when required by law or to respond to legal process; to protect our customers; to protect lives; to maintain the security of our Services; and to protect the rights or property of Takeda.
In such cases, Takeda will require these third parties to protect the confidentiality and security of the personal data that is shared with them. These third parties will be required to agree that they will not use or disclose personal data about you except as necessary to provide services to us or perform services on our behalf, or as necessary to comply with applicable laws or regulations.

How Do We Protect Your Personal Data
We have implemented a variety of security technologies and organizational procedures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use and disclosure. For example, we store your personal data on computer systems that have various types of technical and physical access controls, such as encryption. Takeda has implemented data security controls consistent with industry standards; however, Takeda cannot guarantee the security of your information. Where We Store and Process Personal Data
As Takeda is a multi-national organization with locations in many countries around the world, your personal data may be stored and processed in any country in which we operate, including where we have facilities, or in which we engage service providers. Retention Period
Takeda will retain your personal data only for the minimum period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Notice unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Your Rights Related to Your Personal Data
You have choices about the data we collect. When you are asked to share your personal data with Takeda, you may decline; however, your choice not to share your personal data with Takeda may mean you will not be able to use or (fully) benefit from our Services, features or offerings.
Takeda respects your right, or where permitted by law, your authorized agent, to know and inquire about what personal data we have collected, used or disclosed. In addition, you or your authorized agent, have the right to request correction or deletion of such personal data, as well as to request removal of your personal data held by third parties with whom we conduct business. We will make a good faith effort to provide you with access to your personal data and to correct any inaccuracies or delete such information at your request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or under other legally permitted exceptions. If for any reason your request is declined, we will notify you. Before fulfilling your requests we may require additional information from you in order to verify your identity.
Takeda will inform you if it intends to use your data for marketing purposes and to send marketing communications to you or if it intends to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. Children
Takeda treats children’s information with extra care to ensure that they receive additional protection and safety. Retention of Personal Information. We retain your Personal Information for the minimum period reasonably necessary to provide goods and services to you and for the period reasonably necessary to support our business operational purposes listed in Section C unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Our retention of personal data is based on many factors such as your relationship with Takeda; the nature of the information; compliance with our legal obligations; and defending or resolving actual or anticipated legal claims. We take reasonable measures to destroy or de-identify personal data in a secure manner when it is no longer required.
D. Categories of Personal Information We Have Disclosed, Sold, or Shared
We have disclosed, sold, or shared the following categories of Personal Information to Vendors and Third Parties for a business purpose in the past twelve months: Identifiers, Financial Information, Insurance information, Commercial Information, Biometric Information, Internet or Other Network Information, Geolocation Data, Audio, Electronic, Visual and Similar Information, Professional or Employment-Related Information, Education Information, Inferences, and Sensitive Personal Information for a legitimate business purpose with Affiliates & Vendors, Third Parties at your direction, Successors-in-interest as a result of business transfer or assignment, Regulatory authorities, Advertising networks, Internet service providers, Data analytics providers, Social networks, and Data brokers.
We do not have actual knowledge that we Sell or Share Personal Information of residents who are under 16 years of age. We also do not process Personal Information for purposes of Profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (which means a decision that results in the provision or denial of financial or lending services, housing, insurance, education enrollment or opportunity, criminal justice, employment opportunities, health-care services, or access to essential goods or services).

Information received as part of routine background checks if you are a candidate for employment with Takeda, social media information. When you use a social media platform login to access our services, you will share certain personal information from your social media account with Takeda such as your name, email address, photo, list of social media contacts, and any other information that may be made available to Takeda when you connect to Takeda with your social media account login information.

Advertisers. We do not permit advertisers to display their advertisements on our Website. IMPORTANT NOTE: Takeda cannot comply with a consumer's request to amend or remove information that was provided to Takeda by a healthcare professional or a consumer regarding an adverse drug event.
Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your data subject rights. For example, we will not deny goods or services to you, charge you different prices or rates, or provide a different level of quality for products or services as a result of you exercising your data subject rights.
Appeals. Residents of certain states have the right to appeal our decisions on their data subject requests. This section does not apply to California or Utah residents, or to residents who reside in other states where the applicable U.S. Privacy Law does not give them the right to appeal Controllers’ decisions regarding data subject rights. G. Other Disclosures
Residents Under Age 18. Please note that your request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or data as, for example, some of your content or data may have been reposted by another user.
- Financial Incentives for California Residents. We do not provide financial incentives to California residents who allow us to collect, retain, Sell, or Share their Personal Information. We will describe such programs to you if and when we offer them to you.
Connecticut, Washington, and Nevada Health Data Disclosures. This section only applies to residents of Colorado, Washington, and Nevada. We Collect and Share the below categories of health data from you, and we process such categories of health data for the purposes and in the manners listed in Section C:

Social, psychological, behavioral, and medical interventions;
Health-related surgeries or procedures;
Use or purchase of prescribed medication;
Bodily functions, vital signs, symptoms, or measurements of health information;
Diagnoses or diagnostic testing, treatment, or medication;
Gender-affirming care information;
Reproductive or sexual health information;
Biometric data;
Genetic data;
Precise location information that could reasonably indicate a resident’s attempt to acquire or receive health services or supplies;
Data that identifies a resident seeking health care services; and
Any inferences of the above categories of health data derived or extrapolated from nonhealthy information.
We Collect these categories of health data from the sources listed in Section E, and we Share these categories of health data with the categories of entities listed in Section D.
You may exercise your data subject rights, including obtaining access to and requesting changes to your health data by contacting us via the methods listed in Section F.
We limit Third Party Collection of health data over time and across different websites or online services when you use our websites or online services. We do this by ensuring that entities whose cookies, pixels, and other online trackers we use on our websites and online services are our Vendors under applicable U.S. Privacy Laws and under the Connecticut, Washington and Nevada health privacy laws. Nonetheless, please note that Third Parties may still be able to collect health data from you over time and across different websites depending on your browser, browser add-ons, and associated permissions you set on your device. This collection of health data by those Third Parties is unrelated to our collection of health data from you, and we encourage you to view those Third Parties’ privacy notices for more information about their processing of health data and the methods they provide to allow you to opt out of such processing.
- Disclosure for Nevada Residents. To the extent we collect Personal Information that identifies you through an online website or service among the categories of Personal Information listed in Section B, we do not sell that Personal Information for monetary consideration.
