Takeda Pledges Donation to Support Earthquake Relief Efforts in Turkey and Syria

We are heartbroken by the devastation in Turkey and Syria after the earthquake that struck in southeast Turkey on February 6^th , followed by several aftershocks, killing thousands of people and injuring many more in the region.

 

Our commitment to patients and to our people is unwavering and is even more important in times of humanitarian crisis. We are making every effort to protect our colleagues and to continue to supply patients with the medicines they need in the affected areas. Thus far, we have been able to maintain continuous supply of medicines to impacted regions.

 

We are supporting the global humanitarian efforts by pledging JPY 100 million to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), which is actively providing urgent local humanitarian aid, with volunteers working around the clock to deliver life-saving care.  

 

Our colleagues around the world are also helping those in need in Turkey and Syria by contributing personal donations to the IFRC, and many of those donations are being matched by corporate contributions.  We will continue to evaluate ways to provide additional support services for patients in the affected areas.
