Grants, donations and sponsorships
Takeda Canada is dedicated to helping Canadians achieve better health and brighter futures and believes in its responsibility to our partners, communities, environment and employees. Takeda is committed to enhancing the lives of patients, not only with our medicines, but also by empowering our communities.
Only applications submitted through our online process will be reviewed.
- Businesses or other for-profit organizations
- Private foundations
- All payments made to an individual or to an entity that is controlled in fact by an individual Stakeholder or its family member, legal representative, or agent
- Religious or faith-based organizations
- Travel for individuals or groups
- Capital funding requests (building or equipment)
- Debt reduction campaigns
To begin, please ensure you have the following information ready:
- Letter of request or prospectus describing your initiative. Include date, venue and location.
- Learning objectives, if applicable
- A draft agenda for events
- A detailed budget breakdown
- Information regarding your funding approach (what other sources of funding you are pursuing?)
Applying for funding
Sponsorship
To support independent bona-fide scientific, medical, or healthcare education, research and projects to improve patient's outcomes related activities. Takeda will also receive a tangible benefit.*
Grant
To support independent bona-fide scientific, medical, or healthcare education, research and projects to improve patient's outcomes related activities. Takeda will not receive a tangible benefit. *Note: Funding to support Journal Clubs and Rounds must now be submitted under a grant.
*Benefits may include tangible items (e.g., entry tickets, booth or floor space, prominent print or online corporate logo placement) as well as the opportunity to build corporate reputation and recognition for Takeda (e.g., supporting Women's Leadership event, supporting global initiative on environment sustainability etc.)

Takeda Canada medicines are donated to impoverished communities worldwide through our relationship with Health Partners International of Canada (HPIC). With a strong, integrated network that brings together Canadian pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, medical professionals and volunteers, HPIC delivers donated medicines and medical supplies to approximately 1 million of the most vulnerable people around the globe every year.
Takeda Canada has been recognized by HPIC under their Donor Recognition Program in the highest category available, Health Builders, recognizing cumulative product donations with a wholesale value of more than $1 million.
