Our locations

Takeda Belgium operates through three key entities: Lessines, Zaventem and Brussels.

Lessines

Our Lessines manufacturing site is a state-of-the-art biotechnology production facility with over 50 years of experience, specializing in immunoglobulin purification, plasma-derived therapies, and packaging for treatments targeting blood disorders. Serving more than 250,000 patients worldwide, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality therapies that make a significant impact.

Led by General Manager Operations Geoffrey Pot, the site employs 1,200 professionals from 23 nationalities, working around the clock to ensure the seamless production and supply of these essential therapies. As Takeda's third-largest global production site, Lessines plays a pivotal role in our international operations, producing and distributing over 8 million vials annually to more than 80 countries and regions.

Sustainability is at the heart of our operations, with an ambitious goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in our operations by 2030. In the past few years, Takeda Lessines has reduced city water usage by 60% and cut CO2 emissions by 76%. Our commitment to environmental stewardship ensures that we contribute positively to both global health and the planet.
