Takeda Privacy Statement for e-Permissions


Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, its subsidiaries and related companies in the global Takeda group of companies (“Takeda”) would like to seek your permission, during our operations, for the purposes described below including marketing, research and education, to collect, process, hold, use and internationally disclose or transfer your personal data (including the personal data you have disclosed above) within and outside Australia and/or New Zealand, or commission third parties on behalf of Takeda to do so. Personal data includes the meaning given to “personal information” under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Privacy Act 1993 (NZ).

Takeda globally has operations and activities in many countries (please see www.takeda.com/worldwide/. Your personal data may therefore be held and processed in countries outside Australia or New Zealand by our related companies, production sites, research centres or our service providers.

Depending on your preferences as to contact below, Takeda will contact you by electronic means to provide you with information that may be of interest to you from time to time. This may include information and invitations (where applicable) relating to the following:

  1. Medical education, including information on upcoming scientific and educational events such as conferences and seminars, online and in person courses, and conference reports on past conferences and seminars;
  2. Medical information, including general product and clinical updates, information on Takeda’s products and research, as well as patient resources;
  3. Clinical trials conducted by Takeda (together with its other healthcare partners, where applicable);
  4. Takeda’s business research, marketing and promotional events, activities and materials, including information on Takeda’s services and specialty areas, invitations to participate in Takeda’s market research into medical conditions and the usefulness of Takeda’s products and services, as well as customer satisfaction surveys which relate to a recent interaction that you may have had with Takeda that is designed to collect your feedback and help us improve;
  5. Invitations to participate in remote/virtual meetings with Takeda’s representatives, where applicable;
  6. For transparency reporting purposes, details of amounts paid (or value of benefits received) for specific services you may provide to Takeda from time to time; and
  7. Updates to Takeda’s website and online material.

Unless Takeda is obligated to preserve your personal data in accordance with any relevant laws, Takeda will retain and use your personal data for as long as required for the purposes specified above.

Takeda will provide any communication and take actions free of charge, save that for any requests that are deemed to be unfounded or excessive/repetitive requests, a reasonable fee based on administrative costs may be charged.

You have the right to refuse the collection and use of your personal data as set forth above. However, if you refuse, you may not receive our product information or educational information or you may not benefit from the services provided by Takeda.
